Our remodeled kitchen

We have lived in our house for almost 7 years now. Our house is about 30 years old. Ever since we had moved in we wanted to get new kitchen cabinets. I only wish I had pictures of what the kitchen first looked like when we bought our house. Teal green walls, with black trim black and white checkered floors. Cody and I joked about playing human checked, but we never did. We had the floor tiled soon after we moved in and of course painted the walls (they've been painted a couple of times). Finally after getting our tax returns, we decided to get new kitchen cabinets. We also got a new stove, microwave, and sink. I absolutely LOVE my new kitchen. I can't believe what a difference new cabinets can make. I am learning how to use my new flat surface stove. I was so excited to find out that my oven door locks. That is a plus when you have kids. It was a huge project, but so worth it. Cody had to rip out the old cabinets, wow that was quite a job. I am so thankful to have a new and functioning kitchen. From the pictures you can probably tell we are missing a cabinet by the window. We'll be getting that next week. I am so excited and wanted to share this with you all.

The old cabinets

These are our old cabinets. They were so old and I definently did not love the yellow countertop or the color of the cabinets. The layout of our kitchen was crazy. We had a drawer by the stove that you couldn't even pull out because the stove was in the way. Every time you would pull out a drawer it would fall out onto you. One day as I opened one of the cabinets the corner fell off.

Easter

On Easter day, Cadence and Kyndee got to have another Easter egg hunt @ Grandma and Grandpa Woods house with their cousins. After the kids got done hunting for eggs, the girls decided it was time for the guys to go hunt for eggs. Most of them were pretty good sports about it. We hid those eggs pretty darn good. It was pretty funny watching them search for them. It was nice to spend time with family. The kids loved Grandma's prizes which included; kites, bubbles, candy, money, frizbys, and some other things. We had a wonderful Easter weekend and hope everyone else did too. I hope you'll enjoy looking at some of our Easter advertures.

Ready, Set, Go!

Cadence and Cody were racing to get the eggs and candy. Grandpa Cotten took Kyndee and she even got to pick up some eggs and candy too. The best part of the whole egg hunt was that Cadence won a bike. How awesome is that. They gave away six bikes and she got one of them. It's a big kid bike so I guess we'll just save it for a couple of years.

Kyndee's 1st Birthday

We celebrated Kyndee's 1st birthday on March 19th. All of her cousins on the Wood side of the family came and even 2 friends, Brindley and Bridger. It's hard to believe she is already one. She got an Easter birthday cake since her birthday is so close to Easter this year. She loved opening her presents, just look at the big grin on her face. Of course her sister had to help open the presents. She really enjoyed her cake too! Thanks to Grandma Wood for giving her a bath after. We attemped to make balloon animal, I guess if you used your imagination you could call them animals. Although Aunt Crystal is actually pretty good at it. Dad (Cody) was trying to get Kyndee to walk. I know it'll be no time before she is running around. I think that mabey the cake actually helped when she had to get weighted at the Dr. office then next day. Our children have always been very small. We were happy to find out after going to the Dr. that she has moved from the .08 percentile to the 1st percentile in her weight. So yes 99% of kids her age are bigger than her. She weighed 15 lb. 14 oz.

Loving sisters

The way a 3 year old thinks....

So yesterday, Cadence went out in the backyard to play. A few minutes later she comes running inside and yells "Mom come here, hurry". So I went outside with her. She was pointing up saying "Look Mom, they are moving" So I looked up, and saw the clouds. I said "What the clouds"? She says "Yeah, they're movin". A few minutes later she says again "Mom, they are movin again". She cracks me up.

A few days ago, I walk into the livingroom where Cadence was stretching her legs. It looked as if she was stretching to go running. I have no idea where that came from. So I said to her as I was laughing "Sweetie, what are you doing?" She continues, and looks at me and says "Its not funny Mom". Then she started to laugh.

We always say a prayer as part of Cadence's bedtime routine. She usually wants to say it. So last night this was how her prayer went, with no help. Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for my Daddy, and Kyndee and Mommy, and the trees, and Nook (our dog), and George and Millie (they are our neighbors). I didn't know she even knew Millie's name. We talk to them quite a bit, so I know she had heard it, but I thought that was so cute!

Each and everyday Cadence surprises us with the things she says. She is so much fun. Her favorite things to do lately is to put on a dress with boots. She thinks that is just great!

All dressed up for church

funny girl

This was so cute! I had to share it with everyone. Cadence tipped this stool upside down and Kyndee crawled over to and got into it. She was just sitting in there drinking her bottle. I guess she decided it was just her size.

So Tired!

Kyndee was so Tired that she fell asleep while eating. It was so funny one minute she was shoveling food into her mouth and next minute she was sound asleep. She makes me smile.

Snow in Southern Utah

We got some snow about a month ago. Cadence loved it! She was so excited to go outside and run through it. She told me that the snow was cold. I said "yes honey the snow is very cold". She loves the snow as long as she doesn't have to be in it for very long.
